If you’re a women’s fiction writer or even thinking about writing women’s fiction, you should check out Women’s Fiction Writers Association. I have been part of this organization since before it was one! No, it is not affiliated with my blog, but we have a lot in common, which is why I am always suggesting that writers check it out.
And now, if you’re on the West Coast, you can head to a real life conference with your fellow WF writers!
Are you a WFWA member? Tell us what you love about it in the comments! (I’ll add my two cents as well.)

As a member of WFWA, I love that there are workshops just for us. Being published doesn’t preclude me from always wanting to learn new things and to tap into the minds of the masters! I also love knowing that my WF colleagues understand what I write and are always willing to lend a hand (via the keyboard, mostly). I admire members who are helping themselves by availing themselves of all WFWA resources — human and otherwise.
And of course, let’s not forget the friendships forged!
As a member, I’m thrilled to find so many resources. I’ve taken a couple of workshops that took my WIP to a whole new level. Other members, some of them multi-published authors, were so generous and helpful.
I’ve seen the WFWA website, but otherwise don’t know anything about them. I’ve wondered what the benefits of membership would be, considering I’m not American…is it an international association? I’d love to learn more.
Nita, we have many international members, from Canada and Europe to New Zealand, Singapore, Kenya and Zambia! Because many of our resources are online, including workshops, members can benefit from anywhere. You can check out our website at womensfictiowriters.org and email me if you have specific questions at president@womensfictionwriters.org!

I wish they would hold a conference on the East Coast!!
Stephanie,
An East Coast conference is in the planning stages for the D.C. area in October! You can watch for details as they become available at the website: womensfictionwriters.org.

Super!!
Just discovered WFWA – where have you been all-my-writing-life? Thrilled to have ‘found’ you now though…
I have noticed you don’t monetize your website, don’t waste your traffic,
you can earn additional bucks every month because you’ve got hi quality content.
