Cover Reveal for Left To Chance

February 14, 2017 20 Comments

Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s with lots of love for you, blog readers, that I share this with you today!

2_7_Left to Chance

I didn’t think St. Martin’s Press could possibly give my third novel a cover I loved more than the first two. I mean, truly.

I’ll be back this weekend with more Writing Life posts! I just finished copy edits for Left To Chance and I’m busy writing The Last Bathing Beauty, but I miss the constancy of the blog, and I do have some great guest posts coming up.

More soon!

Beautiful. And it does exactly what a cover should do. It made me say, “Oh, I want to read that.”

Thank you, Kathy! I am very pleased with the cover, though to be honest, I never imagined it would look like this! (I am hopeful at envisioning covers at all.)

I love the shoes!! Beautiful cover and I must admit that as much as I try not to let the cover influence my book choice, truth is it does!

I know, right? Me too! A good cover kind of grabs you and makes you consider a book! And nowadays (makes me sound OLD) covers not only have to look good in person, but online, and on cell phones! I think this one makes a lovely thumbnail! 😉

I love the cover, Amy! A beautiful cover will always make me stop, pick up the book and doing a little reading right there.

Look forward to more blog posts. 🙂

That’s the hope, Beverly. And that’s another reason that those first few pages remain so important. Of course the whole book has to live up to them, but since readers can scoop up samples of books for free and so easily, those opening pages have to say READ THE WHOLE THING! At some point I’ll be able to post or link to the first pages of Left To Chance. I hope you’ll like it!

Thank you, Densie! I was happily surprised by it. I wasn’t expecting dresses, but it totally fits (my main character wears only dresses).

Oh, Beth, thank you! I agree! I’m impressed by the way the SMP team has interpreted each of my novels, but this one just blew me away! Hope you are well!
